In this half-day workshop we'll make a reductive linoblock print in the tradition of atmospheric landscape — working in layers of gray from light to dark, cutting away the block between each pass through the press.
We'll talk about atmospheric perspective: how light behaves at distance, how the horizon dissolves, how less ink can say more than more. You'll leave with a small finished edition pulled on the monoprint press in the studio.
Cutting tools provided. If you have your own tools you're welcome to bring them — Speedball cutters are not recommended.
